Joshua Abiazar El/Elle
I am a holistic DEIB (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Belonging) practitioner and facilitator, committed to fostering spaces of belonging that center marginalized communities. I launched UsirConsulting with the vision of creating a global community of belonging—one where everyone has access to holistic and practical tools to embody liberation, both individually and collectively.
Through my work, I strive to answer the question: How do we embody our values and align with our full, authentic selves—not just in isolation, but in relationship with others? My approach integrates healing-centered, culturally responsive practices that support individuals and communities in moving toward equity and transformation.
What Was
My roots in the Dominican Republic and the Bronx instilled a deep understanding that our collective ability to thrive is inseparable from the structures and histories that shape us. Witnessing these impacts inspired a commitment to making restorative tools accessible to all—not just those with institutional privilege. This path led me through the study of criminal justice and cultural anthropology, from research in the Yucatan to the streets of Denver. Through experiencing profound grief, I was reminded that authentic connection occurs when we shed the layers of systemic conditioning. By grounding my work in the Sweet Water Pedagogy, I ensure that healing and Individuation become a sustainable, practical part of our culture and our shared way of being.
What Will Be
My vision is to nurture a Global Community of Belonging where belonging is a lived reality, not just an ideal. Grounded in the Sweet Water Pedagogy—a holistic recipe of Mind, Body, Spirit, and Heart—I co-create restorative sanctuaries that move beyond traditional professional development. By utilizing the Second Circle framework, we invite individuals and organizations into a process of "Individuation," where shared storytelling and critical connection unveils our common humanities and allows us to see one another's unique qualities instead of social or stereotypic labels. Through honoring culturally centered practices and pedagogies, I design sustainable environments that empower everyone to embrace their full humanity and thrive authentically on our shared journey toward collective liberation.
My unique presence and strengths ensures that UsirConsulting remains a visionary leader in the fields of restorative justice and healing-centered education, bridging the fields of leadership, social justice, and mindfulness for years to come.
